Annie Marshall Lemay Coker, 96, of Cary and formerly of Pleasant Hill and Lake Gaston, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Mayview Convalescent Center in Raleigh.

Mrs. Coker was a native of Vance County, NC, the daughter of the late Stephen Thomas Lemay and Rosa Verna Fleming Lemay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Ashley Coker and her son, Marvin Thomas Coker. She was a member of the Lake Gaston Ladies Club and Elam Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Marshall Miller and her husband, Jeffrey, of Cary; her grandson, Jeffrey Rowe Miller II; and her brother, John Cullom Lemay, of Durham.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends on Friday, January 21, from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor-Coker Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
